The Belmont Business Improvement District is thrilled to host the annual Ferragosto festival in Bronx Little Italy!
We look forward to welcoming everyone for a day filled with Italian culture, delicious food from our local businesses, and wonderful live entertainment and performances to world-famous Arthur Avenue and East 187th Street on Sunday, September 8, 2024, 12-6pm, rain or shine.
This ancient Roman festival dates back to 18 B.C. when the gathering was created in honor of the emperor, Caesar Augustus. For over 25 years, the merchants of Bronx Little Italy have banded together to keep this Italian tradition alive by engaging visitors in Italian culture, tradition, music, and of course, authentic food.
The Ferragosto event continues to grow each year with thousands of guests who travel from near and far to make it part of their family tradition. Ferragosto is a way to convene our customers and supporters in a festival-like atmosphere and share what we have to offer as an authentic Little Italy. Attendees love to be immersed in Italian culture and experience all the fun, food, and entertainment the festival has to offer. Ferragosto is a chance for people to experience first-hand the neighborhood’s old-world charm and tradition of good taste.

In addition to street parking and the Belmont Municipal Parking Field at 2365 Hoffman Street, there is parking available at Fordham University 685 E Fordham Road for $10 with a free shuttle to/from the event 11am-7pm. There are additional parking garages at SBH Health System 4422 Third Ave (Enter on Quarry Road), and Fordham Plaza Garage 450 East 189th St.
